return from falling off the edge

I have certainly fallen off the radar.
I am working on some new drapes for the restaurant and trying to keep ontop of the ever mounting house work that seems to keep sneaking up on me. I got my car fixed and out of the shop and tried to get all the things together for dinner tomorrow.
We had the first of our tomatos from our garden and think we should continue to get more and more veggies from the garden.
We are already looking for ways to expand our garden for next year.

I need to be pushing myself and making myself have mini goals for the week, month and year.
I hope its not something that I put off yet another week...

have not been good about posting.
this is only important to me anyhow...
so I guess I won't lose sleep over it.

Seriously considering making another blog about my server job.
I really feel that its something that alot of people might empathize with....and would in turn be very cathartic for me.

Off to do some tidying around the house.

Its nice to see the transition of our patio and its slow transition from being this dreay, dead space to this place that invites life and growth.

Getting everything together

Today I will spend the day trying to tie up all loose ends.

I will try to make it to the post office before they shoo me away.

Ben and I sat on the patio today while he ate breakfast.

I am really glad that we have put some life into the patio.

Can't wait until we have veggies so that I don't have to run to the store when I realize that I am out of something.

Some times I wonder..,.

Was I even supposed to have a chance at pursuing something in a creative career. I wonder if I have over sold the illusion to myself.
I have done a great job of contemplating a hell of a lot of great ideas and not enough time or resources to make them materialize.

I am really disappointed about that.

Another Monday

We were able to get some headway on our garden. Ben and I are growing all kinds of flowers and veggies on the patio. I am excited to see the zucchini and green beans that we purchased grow on these lovely trellis that we bought today. I hope to be taking tons of pictures.

It is nice to be able to have some green on the patio and remember the season brings forth new life, change and growth.

We also finally got a hold of some mason jars.

Well it was quite an adventure today.

I have a lot to digest...

but for now I am going to eat some soft serve icecream.

More on the whole adventure later.

Right now I am going to placate my mind with icecream...

I am going on a journey with Ben tomorrow to visit Women's Studio Workshop...
to see how things are for the opportunity for the Summer Internship where I will be cooking in exchange for studio time and art immersion.

Sat on the patio today with Ben. First real warm day in a really long time.

Just sat and watched the bunnies and squirrels run freely through the yard.

Had cheesy risotto with grilled scallops.

We love Mondays.

(the only day the restaurant is closed)

because some people have not seen my shorter haircut. I donated over 20 inches to Locks of Love.

Trying to get something together to post on the site for today. Had a glass of wine and some bread for dinner. Going to take a shower and put some focus back into this page tomorrow.

I was pretty inspired to keep the impetus of all this going. I hope to finalize some more of the information on it before the end of the weekend.

I travel into the city to see my "students" at Bellevue. I come armed with the donated beads that I picked up from Robin last week.

I hope to get news pretty soon about what I am going to be doing for the later half of the year.

I'm ready for the change. I hope.

After sifting through what must have been a thosand images on my camera, I found that there are alot of things that I would otherwise forget if there was not a photograph to jog my memory.

I guess there are moments in Jersey where there isn't overdevelopment.

I finally made a gmail account that I can actually remember the information from...so I will actually be able to log into the account. I have been inspired to finally get something of myself on the web after a wonderful "pep" talk with Danielle over the most delish Vodka Tonics in Brooklyn.

We challenged each other to discipline ourselves long enough to get a blog put together.

Though I will be the first to admit that I am the WORST at keeping to these types of things...as evidence of half a dozen or more barely started and never finished journals/sketchbooks strewn throughout my place of residence.
